This week we took the first step towards improving the energy efficiency of our new 44-46 Main Street property. We replaced all of the incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs in the basement common areas and ground floor apartment with highly efficient 5 watt LED bulbs. This reduced our maximum energy consumption for lighting from 362 watts/hour to 96 watts/hour, which is a 73% improvement! Three more energy efficiency upgrades are slated to be completed later this summer.
