Today we implemented some quick and easy energy efficiencies at our 46 Island Avenue property. We started by replacing all of the incandescent and compact fluorescent bulbs in the building with highly efficient 5 watt LED bulbs. This reduced our maximum energy consumption for lighting from 430 watts/hour to 177 watts/hour, which is a 59% improvement! Then we replaced all of the plumbing fixtures in the building with more efficient models, reducing water usage from 11 gallons/minute to 6 gallons/minute, which is a 45% improvement!

These operational efficiencies help preserve the environment, and allow us provide our great tenants with the most competetive rents we can offer.
